Privacy policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Clearspace version 2.5

Clearspace provides personal planning, focus tracking, optional voice capture, AI thought organization, and CV-to-job comparison. This policy describes the current extension and these static information pages.

Planning data is stored on your device. Optional AI sends the content you choose to analyze to Clearspace’s service and its AI provider. Voice recognition may use Chrome’s online speech service.

1. Data stored on your device

The extension stores tasks, schedules, focus-session records, preferences, voice transcript drafts, saved CV text, job-description drafts, and AI settings in Chrome’s local extension storage. It does not automatically sync this data to a Clearspace account or server.

Users do not enter a provider API key in this version. The provider credential is held on the service’s server, not in the extension. Unsaved CV and job inputs carried to the detailed matcher may use Chrome session storage.

2. Optional AI processing

When you click Organize my thoughts, or finish speaking with Finish & make bullets, the extension sends the completed transcript and current date to https://decentgatewaysllc.com/api/clearspace/organize. When you click Run job match, it sends the displayed CV and job-description text to https://decentgatewaysllc.com/api/clearspace/job-match.

The service processes these inputs and sends them to Hive using DeepSeek for the requested analysis. Requests reveal connection information such as IP addresses to the receiving service. See Hive’s privacy policy. Remove private details you do not want to transmit.

Server retention disclosure required before publication

The publisher must specify its actual server, hosting, logging, and provider retention/deletion practices here before publishing this policy. The supplied backend example does not intentionally save request documents, but the deployed server and logging configuration have not been verified.

3. Voice recognition

Microphone use starts when you click Start listening and grant permission. Chrome’s speech-recognition service may send audio to Google for transcription. Clearspace retains the resulting text draft, not an audio recording. See Google’s privacy policy. Availability and processing depend on Chrome and its speech service.

4. Webpage access and scroll awareness

The extension reads job-page text only when you click Read current job page. That text and its title may be retained locally as a draft.

Optional scroll awareness detects visible videos on the Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube sites you explicitly enable. It shows red outlines and estimates daily Reels/Shorts and other video views. Only daily counts by site and type are stored, for up to 90 days. Video source and element identity are inspected transiently to avoid repeatedly counting the same visible player; URLs, titles, and video content are not persisted or sent to our server or AI provider.

Disable a site in Scroll awareness to stop tracking. You can also revoke its site permission in Chrome. This feature does not monitor other sites or read browser history. Site blocking has been removed in this release.

5. Use and sharing

Data is used to provide features you request. Clearspace has no advertising or analytics integrations in this release. It does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

AI content is shared with the provider you configure. Voice audio may be processed by Chrome’s speech service. This extension does not currently provide an account or subscription interface. AI requests use the Clearspace backend.

6. Retention and deletion

Local extension data remains until you change or remove it, clear extension storage, or uninstall. Use task controls to remove tasks, clear editable drafts, use Remove saved CV to delete the saved CV, Previous versions may have retained a user-entered key in session storage; restarting Chrome clears that session. This version does not use those keys.

Chrome clears session storage at the end of the browser session and may also clear it when an extension reloads, updates, or is disabled. Exported files remain wherever you saved them. Uninstalling does not delete provider-held data or those files.

7. Security and your choices

AI endpoints must use HTTPS. You control whether to enable voice, request AI organization, analyze text, save a CV, or enable blocking. Avoid putting confidential information in inputs unless you intend to send it for the requested analysis. API keys are sensitive; do not include them in support messages.

8. This website and support

These pages do not include analytics, cookies, remote fonts, or forms that send data. The hosting provider may process ordinary request logs, including IP addresses, according to its own policy. If you contact support, the recipient and support service will receive the information you choose to provide.

9. Policy changes

This policy will be updated when data practices change, including before introducing accounts, subscriptions, or server-side processing. The revision date above identifies the latest update.
